I started where most people start. With a simple problem. How to stick to habits?

The answer isn't discipline. It's not willpower. It's motivation. The kind of motivation that makes you want to open the app again tomorrow. Not because you feel guilty, but because something fun is waiting for you.

I first published a really fast version with a light interface. The idea was simple — gamify habits using a mascot that earns experience points each time you check a habit. I started sharing it before even making it. Then I decided to build it fast and see what this could do.

After 3 weeks the app was on stores. But I knew it was just the beginning.

Gaining XP was something not new. Not that crazy. So I started to think. What if I could let people build a city? A medieval city. Each time you complete a habit you earn a random building.

In two days I prototyped something. Then started to post progress on X. Each post became viral from that idea.

I didn't want to make this look cheap. I worked weeks to provide a first version with as many buildings as possible. Improving the random loots from checking habits. Polishing details. That's how the first version was born.
